Sites like Roobet on Reddit: the questions, and the documents

Ten threads, in five subreddits, spanning roughly six years. Four sit in r/Roobet itself and all four are about the United States. Three sit in general gambling subreddits and are requests for somewhere to play. Two concern allegations against the operator. One asks a straight comparison against another brand.

The table records the metrics as they stood when the search was read, and two of the ten had no score recorded in what was read. Scores and comment counts are facts about a thread's traffic, not about a casino, and no ranking on this site is derived from them.

The four oldest threads in the set are the four in r/Roobet, and they are five and six years old. A question that persists for six years in a brand's own subreddit is not an unanswered question. It is a question whose answer is written down and has not moved.

The answer is in Roobet's terms of service, at clause 3.5, headed Restricted Territories. The clause lists twenty-five places and the United States is one of them. That is a term of the agreement a player enters into with Roobet, printed as a numbered clause rather than buried in a support article, and it is the reason three of the four r/Roobet threads exist.

This site reports that clause and draws nothing further from it. It does not tell anybody whether they may lawfully open an account anywhere, it does not discuss the gambling law of any country, and it does not extend the treatment to the forty-one alternatives, whose own territory lists are not the subject of this page.

How can I play roobet in the US?, posted about five years ago with a hundred and twenty-three comments, and For US Players, posted about six years ago. Both are questions about a term of a contract, and the contract answers them at clause 3.5.

Among the alternatives, several publish clauses framed explicitly around determining both identity and location: DuckDice at section 2 of its terms, Stake at clause 4.8, Windice at clause 15.1 and JacksClub in its terms of service, each reserving the right to ask at any time and to hold service or payment until the question is settled. Those are the sentences that decide the matter, and this page stops there.

Clause 4.9 makes document requests discretionary and available at any time; clause 10.5 refuses withdrawals until identity is fully verified. That is normal for this market rather than unusual. The terms add the things that decide arguments about money: a 1% fee on all successful fiat deposits at clause 9.7, a 2% fee from the tenth fiat withdrawal in any rolling thirty-day period at clause 10.8, and a requirement at clause 10.1 that a deposit be wagered before it can be withdrawn. No maximum withdrawal is published, no verification figure is published, and no founding year is published in anything read.
